Deformed Expended Small Arms Casings

Camp Grayling’s Qualified Recycling Program, under the Department of the Army, is offering deformed expended small arms casings as surplus property for sale. The material is about 36,800 pounds of brass in 16 Gaylord boxes, including .50 caliber, 5.56 mm, blanks, and 7.62 mm casings that were processed through an Army Peculiar Equipment munitions deformer and are unusable for reloading. The sale includes a 5% quantity variation, bidders may inspect the brass by appointment, and the winning bidder must remove the material within 14 days and provide 16 Gaylord boxes and bottom slips supporting up to 2,500 pounds or pay a replacement fee. Bids are due by email to Josh Thomas by June 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM EDT, with award scheduled for June 17, 2026.
