The Department of the Navy’s NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanical office is soliciting a supply contract for metallic tube material for use in a critical shipboard system. The requirement is for seamless copper-nickel alloy tubing, with detailed specifications for material composition, dimensions, marking, traceability, certifications, and packaging. It is designated as special emphasis material, requires hydrostatic testing and other quality controls, uses destination inspection and acceptance, and notes that past performance will be considered in evaluation; early and incremental delivery is acceptable at no additional cost.
