Architect of the Capitol (AOC) Renewable Energy Certificate (Credit)
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Architect of the Capitol is seeking a contractor to supply and retire Renewable Energy Certificates to help the agency meet federal sustainability mandates and secure LEED credits. The selected contractor must deliver 20,000 megawatt-hours of certified, registry-tracked credits annually to support 16 specified federal facilities across Washington, D.C. Performance is structured as a firm-fixed-price contract containing a one-year base period beginning September 28, 2026, followed by four consecutive one-year option periods. Technical compliance requires that the credits are Green-e certified, tracked on an approved registry, and generated from facilities built within the last ten years. Final proposals, which will be evaluated using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable source selection process, must be submitted to Donald Fuqua at donald.fuqua@aoc.gov by September 27, 2026.
