PACKING MATERIAL

The Department of Defense, through the Department of the Navy’s NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanical office, is soliciting packing material for Navy supply support needs. The work centers on providing packing and gasket materials in accordance with the applicable IRPOD, drawings, specifications, and other technical documents tied to the item being purchased. The solicitation includes detailed quality, inspection, packaging, cybersecurity, and material-control provisions, including required inspection systems, destination delivery, and a prohibition on mercury in the supplied hardware. A procedure package is due within 45 days after contract award, and any required reports of test and inspection are to be submitted with the delivery schedule; vendor review of the IRPOD is mandatory, and quoted pricing is valid for 60 days after the closing date unless otherwise specified.
