Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Audit Function

The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for market research and planning related to the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Audit Function. The RFI seeks to understand industry capabilities, solutions, delivery approaches, and cost structures for PREA audit support services. It is not a solicitation for proposals. The DOJ is requesting information on organizational experience with PREA programs, auditor training and oversight, staffing approaches for nationwide operations, and transition and implementation strategies. The RFI also requests non-binding market research pricing and industry feedback on the draft requirements, including feasibility, clarity, completeness, and potential barriers to competition or performance risks. Responses are due by June 10, 2026, and should not exceed 15 pages.
