Contract Opportunity Analysis

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, is seeking sources to provide annual calibration and as-needed repair services for radiation survey instruments. The selected contractor will support the VHA Medical Emergency Radiological Response Team by servicing geographically dispersed equipment, including Ludlum survey kits, Geiger-Mueller survey meters, Portable Portal Monitors, and Polimaster units. To qualify, vendors must perform calibrations in-house using NIST-traceable sources, maintain compliance with ANSI N323 standards, possess appropriate alpha, beta, and high-energy gamma-emitting radiation sources, and provide a 15-day turnaround time. The anticipated contract will consist of a base year and four option years, and interested parties must submit capability statements, licensing information, and estimated pricing to Contracting Officer Charles Willis via email by July 31, 2026.
