53--MOLDED INSERT

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is seeking to procure molded inserts used in crucial shipboard systems. Contractors must manufacture and deliver these molded inserts in accordance with NAVSEA drawing S-5343934-1, ensuring the non-metallic materials satisfy specific toxicity and flammability requirements. Because this is designated as special emphasis material, the contractor must maintain strict configuration controls, maintain an approved ISO-9001 or MIL-I-45208 quality system, and ensure 100% material traceability. Deliverables must be mercury-free, undergo Government Quality Assurance at the source, and require the submission of certification data CDRLs 20 days prior to final delivery, which is scheduled for 210 days.
