The Department of the Army’s Kansas Air National Guard is conducting a sources sought notice for a future Building 42 chiller replacement at McConnell AFB, Kansas, to identify capable small business sources. The work calls for dismantling, removing, and disposing of the existing 40-ton air-cooled chiller and air handling unit, then furnishing, installing, and commissioning new Trane equipment for the same capacity and environmental-control function. The scope also includes grounding the new units, updating the DDC system, expanding the concrete pad if needed, and making electrical changes to support the new 460V connection and breaker/panel requirements while maintaining compatibility with existing building automation systems.
