Sources Sought for Organization with Capabilities for Advanced Manufacturing Research and Development

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command – Soldier Center (DEVCOM SC) has issued a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) to identify colleges, universities, and university-affiliated non-profits capable of advanced manufacturing (AdvM) research and development. This is not a solicitation for proposals, but rather market research to find institutions with expertise in AdvM processes, composite research, additive manufacturing (AM), and design for additive manufacturing (DfAM). The Army seeks organizations with established curricula, research functions, industry partnerships, and facilities to support immediate research needs, aligning with national security and AdvM strategies. Responses should detail core competencies, required capabilities (including R&D, infrastructure, personnel, and business relationships), and include an organizational overview, technical capabilities, past performance, personnel information, and business details. Submissions are due by January 28, 2026, limited to 10 pages, and must be unclassified. This SSN may lead to a future Request for Proposal (RFP).
