The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging Core (FMRIF) Center is seeking to acquire a new, research-dedicated 7-Tesla (7T) Ultra-High Field MRI system or technical equal. The contractor must provide a complete turn-key physical installation within the FMRIF Center at the NIH Bethesda campus, which includes specialized rigging, mechanical installation, calibration, and training, alongside the de-installation and trade-in removal of an existing legacy Siemens 7T Plus MRI system. Proposals will be evaluated using a best value tradeoff process across six technical factors—led by Technical Performance & Capability—and price, which is calculated as a firm-fixed-price sum of all core equipment, services, and optional extended warranties minus the trade-in credit. Only prime contract offerors who registered and attended the mandatory site visit on September 3, 2026, are eligible to submit proposals, with the final submission deadline set for September 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM EDT.
