Issued by the ship's Supply Officer to the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center in San Diego, the acquisition aims to increase the operational availability of LCS-2 Variant Main Propulsion and Electrical Generator systems while reducing fuel filter replacement costs ahead of an upcoming deployment. The required equipment includes one DXP Model 47 Fuel Filtration Unit equipped with a Rosedale multi-basket filter housing, four Graco QUANTM I30 Electric Diaphragm Pumps, and a comprehensive hose and fittings kit. The selected vendor is responsible for hand-delivering the filtration unit directly to ship personnel at the pier of Naval Base San Diego, CA. Additionally, the vendor must obtain all necessary Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) base access permits and coordinate delivery schedules and locations with the designated Ship Force Point of Contact (POC). Upon arrival, the USS KINGSVILLE's Chief Engineer will conduct a visual inspection of the delivered equipment to verify technical compliance and ensure there is no damage.
