The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) intends to award a sole source contract to the Minnesota Department of Public Safety (MN DPS) for voice message handling services on radio frequencies licensed to both entities. This contract, valued under the simplified acquisition threshold of $250,000, will ensure continuous dispatching of calls for service and coordination of emergency and non-emergency incidents, providing essential voice communications for USFWS law enforcement officers 24/7. The MN DPS's unique services, including CAD connectivity and the use of I-mobile software, are critical for effective law enforcement operations in Minnesota.
