The National Park Service, within the Department of the Interior, is seeking a conservator to support Historic Architecture, Conservation, and Engineering (HACE) FY26 preventative conservation services under an 8(a) competed federal purchase order. The work covers conservation services for parks in the Northeast Region, including historic artifact conservation, collection-wide preservation, preventive treatment planning and surveys, treatment and research, training, and project-specific tasks such as surveying, packing, condition surveys, and rehousing artifacts. Performance is centered in Lowell, MA with travel to various National Historical Parks and Monuments, and the contractor must provide personnel with conservation expertise, digital photography and documentation skills, and a graduate degree or equivalent; a NACI background investigation and PIV credential are required, and evaluation emphasizes past performance, key personnel qualifications, and price. Quotes are due June 12, 2026 at 12:00 PM ET, questions are due June 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM ET, and pricing must include labor plus not-to-exceed costs for travel, shipping, and materials.
