Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of the Interior’s National Park Service is seeking trash and solid waste collection services for Schoodic Woods Campground at Acadia National Park in Maine. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials to collect, store, transport, and dispose of campground refuse, while supplying and maintaining animal-resistant containers and handling cleanup, covered transport, and approved disposal. Work is centered at Schoodic Woods Campground in Winter Harbor and includes a Monday, Wednesday, and Friday collection schedule with special adjustments for the final season week and holidays; award is planned as a firm-fixed-price purchase order with an initial period from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2027, plus four optional years, and evaluation will consider technical capability, past performance, and price.
