Low Earth Orbit (LEO) Transportation Request for Information
Contract Opportunity Analysis
NASA’s Johnson Space Center is seeking input from established commercial providers and new industry entrants to inform its future acquisition strategy for crew and cargo transportation to commercial low Earth orbit destinations. The request focuses on the sustainability of current services, barriers to entry, cost-reduction ideas, minimum flight rates, human-rating and certification approaches, and any optional capabilities that could add value without shifting the primary transportation mission. NASA is using the input to support planning for a transition from the International Space Station to commercially provided stations, while avoiding a transportation gap and preserving compatibility with current crew and cargo vehicle fleets.
