Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM)

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking sources for Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM) services at the Kansas City VA Medical Center. This service is crucial for patient safety during surgeries that pose a risk to the nervous system, including Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology, and Vascular Surgery. The selected vendor will provide a certified neurophysiological monitoring technician and all necessary equipment and disposables for each procedure. Services are required Monday through Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM, with emergent services for holidays, nights, and weekends. Technicians must be certified, proficient in various monitoring modalities like SSEPs, MEPs, EEG, and EMG, and must pass background checks and local qualification processes for facility access and electronic health record charting.
