31--BEARING,PLAIN,ROD E, IN REPAIR/MODIFICATION OF

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, intends to issue a sole-source solicitation for the repair of a plain rod end bearing. The scope of work requires the repair of one unit of NIIN 01-508-4324, part number 00P00131-4452, used in submarine engineering systems. This requirement will be negotiated with DRS Power Technology Inc. as the original equipment manufacturer and the only source with the necessary technical data, and the contract will carry a one-year performance period with delivery to DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. Although this is a sole-source notice, the agency will consider capability statements from other sources submitted to Taylor Weidman at taylor.m.weidman2.civ@us.navy.mil by the response deadline of August 24, 2026.
