Dronebuster 4
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Department of Defense, through the U.S. Air Force’s 20th Contracting Squadron at Shaw AFB, is conducting a sources sought market survey to identify capable sources for Dronebuster 4, a counter-unmanned aircraft system. The requirement is for a compact, lightweight, man-portable handheld electronic attack system that can detect and defeat commercial drone threats, including dark drones through PNT spoofing, and support jamming and integration options. Salient characteristics include MIL STD 810 environmental testing, an IP65 rating, a NATO Mil-Spec battery, fixed-site mounting points, and an RS 422 serial interface for command and control integration. Responses are due by email to Motaz Irshid referencing Dronebuster 4 no later than 26 March 2026 at 8:00 AM EST, and the government will use the responses to help determine the set-aside method and procurement approach.
