Meal, Ready-to-Eat (MRE)

The Department of Defense, through the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Troop Support, is seeking industry interest in the procurement of Meal, Ready-to-Eat (MRE) rations, which are essential for sustaining military personnel during operations when traditional food services are unavailable. The MREs are self-contained meals designed for high-energy activities, with specific requirements for production capabilities, including USDA and FDA compliance, and adherence to the Berry Amendment and Buy American Act. Interested suppliers must demonstrate their ability to meet production demands, including surge capacity and sustainment, while providing detailed information about their facilities and past production of similar products.
