Contract Opportunity Analysis
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Marshall Space Flight Center, through its Technology Transfer Program, is soliciting inquiries from companies interested in obtaining license rights to commercialize, manufacture, and market a Portable Slide Staining System for Microscopy. The licensed technology is a handheld, self-contained, and reusable slide staining system designed to support medical, research, or environmental monitoring on Earth and in microgravity environments. The system features a dispenser with an adjustable reagent sponge delivery system and a slide staining device that traps and seals the specimen slide, making it applicable to all known staining procedures. No funding or follow-on procurement will be provided by NASA in conjunction with these potential exclusive or nonexclusive licenses. Interested parties must submit a license application through NASA's Automated Technology Licensing Application System, and inquiries can be directed to Agency-Patent-Licensing@mail.nasa.gov.
