Service Contract for the Gatan Inc EBSD and EDS systems installed on the Tescan Clara Scanning electron microscope (SEM)

The Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) issued a Notice of Intent to award a sole source purchase order to Gatan Inc. This purchase is for a service contract for existing Gatan Inc. The NRL is utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures under FAR Part 13.106-1(b), as the purchase is not expected to exceed $350,000. The NAICS code is 811210 ($34M size standard) and the FSC/PSC is J066. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, but interested parties can submit evidence of their capability to respond to the requirement. The Government will consider such information to determine if a competitive procurement is advantageous, but the decision remains at their discretion. No reimbursement for providing capability information will be offered.
