Contract Opportunity Analysis

Brookhaven Science Associates, on behalf of the Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory, is seeking qualified sources to conduct simulation studies for the Radio-Frequency systems of the Electron Ion Collider. The selected contractor will perform six key tasks, including evaluating and reducing power requirements for the Electron Storage Ring, simulating various storage ring RF systems, studying transverse distribution under RF noise, and confirming power requirements during ramp for the Rapid Cycling Synchrotron. The scope of work also requires participating in weekly progress teleconferences, attending design reviews, and delivering technical reports, developed codes, and documentation across the four quarters of Fiscal Year 2027. Work will support beam operations in Upton, New York, and interested sources must submit a detailed capability statement demonstrating their qualifications to Eric Nagel at enagel@bnl.gov.
