Request for Information - Short Tandem Repeat Typing of Unidentified Human Remains

The Federal Bureau of Investigation is seeking information from vendors for a future acquisition to support short tandem repeat (STR) typing of unidentified human remains. The work centers on providing DNA isolation and STR typing services for calcified tissues, including bones and teeth, and on supporting the handling of difficult forensic samples. Vendors are expected to use validated and accredited procedures, an NDIS-approved STR DNA testing kit, provide quality system documents, and demonstrate the capacity to process at least 200 samples per month, with performance in Quantico, Virginia.
