Sources Sought Motor Grader Mulcher with Boom

The USDA Forest Service, Gila National Forest, is conducting market research to identify manufacturers capable of providing a motor grader mulcher with a boom, specifically a brand name or equal to the XD72 Forax Mulcher and Grader Implement Boom. The required equipment must attach to a Caterpillar 150 motor grader to assist with gravel road maintenance by mulching natural vegetation and trees up to six inches in diameter. Technical requirements dictate a minimum mulching width of 70 inches, a minimum boom reach of 20 feet, and the ability to operate the boom and mulcher concurrently with all other grader functions. Interested vendors must submit a capability statement of no more than eight pages in Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format.
