Description

Sources Sought VETERANS AFFAIRS, DEPARTMENT OF is seeking expressions of interest to acquire land in Happy Valley, OR for a national cemetery. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is interested in acquiring land to construct a new National Cemetery in Happy Valley, OR and submarket areas. The VA is looking for a parcel of at least 300 acres, with contiguous parcels being considered. The site must be within a 30-mile radius of Happy Valley, OR and inclusive of sites within the State of Washington. The VA will only acquire a site based on fair market value, as determined by a qualified appraiser. The site must not be within the 100-year flood plain, unless there is no alternative. Interested parties must submit an expression of interest including site location, current zoning and use, proof of ownership/control, legal description of the site, maps, drawings, site plan, access to major transportation routes, availability of utilities, environmental and cultural resource assessments, and information on any ongoing or planned development affecting the site.
