48--VALVE,BUTTERFLY, IN REPAIR/MODIFICATION OF

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, is issuing a presolicitation notice for the repair and modification of butterfly valves under National Stock Number 7R-4820-014729777-KB. The procurement is for a quantity of ten units to be delivered FOB Origin under Technical Data Package Version 002. Because the butterfly valve is a flight-critical item with proprietary technical data, the Government intends to negotiate a sole-source contract with a previously approved source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Unapproved sources seeking qualification must submit a comprehensive source approval request package in accordance with NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Information Brochures. Proposals or capability statements must be submitted within 45 days of the notice publication (or 30 days if issued under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement) to primary contact Arianna G.
