Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Embassy in Cairo, under the Department of State, is seeking a contractor to provide health and life insurance services for its locally employed staff. The work covers off-the-shelf health insurance and group life insurance plans that meet the solicitation’s minimum benefit levels, including accidental death, dismemberment, and disability coverage. The contract is planned as a fixed-price arrangement with economic price adjustment, with a base year, four option years, and a six-month extension, and offerors must be registered in SAM. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for June 9, 2026, in Cairo, questions are due by June 17, 2026, and proposals must be submitted electronically in English to CairoGSOProcA@state.gov by June 29, 2026, at 4:30 p.m. Cairo time.
