Z--REPLACE DAMAGED FIBER LINE
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The National Park Service, within the Department of the Interior, is seeking a small-business-only firm-fixed-price quote to replace damaged fiber optic cable and perform OTDR testing at the John Muir National Historic Site. The work includes demolishing existing fiber infrastructure, installing a new single-mode fiber backbone between the Maintenance Building IDF and the Adobe Building IDF, performing bi-directional OTDR testing between the Visitor Center and Muir House, and providing associated enclosures, sleeves, patch cords, test results, and as-built documentation. The project uses existing conduit pathways and calls for compliance with applicable construction and labor requirements, including Buy American provisions, Davis-Bacon wage rates, a site-specific safety plan, and qualified personnel, with work to begin within 10 days of award and finish within 30 days. Proposals must be emailed and are due by 12:00 p.m. Pacific time on May 28, 2026, with questions due by email to Brian Roppolo no later than May 20, 2026.
