NNMC - Notice of Intent to Single-Source Steris Corporation
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The Navajo Area Indian Health Service, through the Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, New Mexico, intends to award Steris Corporation a firm-fixed-price contract for preventative maintenance services supporting biomedical equipment needs. The work covers Steris autoclaves, washers, endoscope disinfectors, and Endodry cabinets used by the Biomedical Engineering Department. The procurement is planned as a single-source action under FAR 6.103-1 because the agency believes only one responsible source can meet its requirements, including licensing agreements and warranty coverage for specialized medical equipment, and performance would run from April 1, 2026 through March 31, 2031. This is not a solicitation, but any other potential source may submit a capability statement by email to Stephen Silversmith at stephen.silversmith@ihs.gov no later than 10:00 AM MT on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, and no solicitation will be issued.
