Concrete Ecology Blocks
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, is seeking to purchase and deliver 120 concrete ecology blocks for the Detroit Dam project. The work calls for stackable blocks measuring approximately 30 by 30 by 60 inches, weighing about 4,320 pounds each, and including an embedded lifting point such as an eye hook or U-bolt. The blocks will support a sloped access road to the Detroit Powerhouse and provide erosion control to help mitigate landslide risks and preserve vehicle access at the Mill City, Oregon site. Delivery is to a turnout off the Detroit Dam access road at 40990 Highway 22 in Mill City, with deliveries accepted Monday through Thursday from 0700 to 1600 excluding federal holidays, freight included in the proposed price, an estimated cost of $24,800, and a listed contact of Darrell Hutchens.
