Lowell Creek Tunnel Repairs Industry Day

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Alaska District is hosting an Industry Day to share information and gather feedback regarding the upcoming Lowell Creek Tunnel Repairs design-bid-build construction project. The planned work scope includes the demolition of the existing damaged tunnel liner, construction of replacement rails and a concrete liner, placement of a 1.5-inch abrasion-resistant concrete layer, and managing dewatering and diversion conditions. The project is located in Seward, Alaska, and the upcoming presentation aims to familiarize potential contractors with these technical and environmental requirements. The Industry Day will take place on August 24, 2026, at the Megan Room in Anchorage, Alaska, and online via MS Teams, with mandatory RSVP information due to Jennifer Gosh at Jennifer.Gosh@usace.army.mil by 2:00 PM AKDT on August 21, 2026.
