Matlab software from MathWorks Inc. (Notice of Intent to sole source)

The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center (NIH CC) seeks to procure Matlab software support and maintenance for the period of January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026. This acquisition is crucial for sustaining the NIH CC's research and educational mission, as Matlab is a fundamental programming platform used by scientists and engineers for algorithm development, data analysis, visualization, and numeric computation. The Department of Clinical Research Informatics (DCRI) at the NIH CC relies heavily on Matlab for various applications, including Artificial Intelligence, signal processing, image and video processing, computational biology, control systems, test and measurement, and computational finance. The objectives are to renew the existing Campus-Wide Suite license, ensure continuous software maintenance and support, maintain licensing compliance, and prevent service disruptions that could impede critical research and educational activities. The contractor will be required to provide an unlimited CC-wide Matlab Enterprise license, including software updates and a one-year maintenance and support plan.
