Deformed Expended Small Arms Casings

The Camp Grayling Qualified Recycling Program (QRP) is issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) QRP26-MI01 for the sale of 36,800 lbs of deformed expended small arms casings, including .50 caliber, 5.56 mm, blanks, and 7.62 mm brass. These casings have been processed to be unusable for their original purpose. Bidders must submit their offers via email to the QRP Manager by May 26, 2026, including company information, contact details, authorized representative's name and signature, price per pound, and acceptance of terms. Bids are reviewed on May 28, 2026, with the award going to the highest bidder capable of executing the agreement. Bidders are encouraged to inspect the material prior to bidding. The sale is a one-time 'spot sale,' and the government guarantees the description only until removal. Purchasers are responsible for removing the items within 14 days of award and must provide their own gaylord boxes or incur a fee. Payment must be made with cashier's or certified checks to the U.S. Department of Treasury, with an 80% initial payment due within five business days of award notification and full payment before removal. Failure to comply with payment or removal terms may result in default, loss of rights to the property, and potential debarment from future sales.
