SPECIAL TOOL

The Defense Logistics Agency, DLA Land Warren, has issued a Sources Sought notice to identify qualified small business sources for a Special Tool associated with the Abrams Tank. The procurement requires the manufacturing and delivery of 14 units of the Special Tool, identified by National Stock Number 2350-01-715-0525 and Part Number 12473343-2, with an option for an additional 14 units. Deliveries are to be made FOB Destination to Alabama, and interested contractors must meet the requirements of the Source Approval Program, which includes vehicle-level qualification testing at their own expense. Technical data is available for this procurement, and the agency anticipates releasing the official solicitation, under number SPRDL1-27-R-A050, on or about November 30, 2026.
