Request for Information: Graphene Production and Manufacturing

DARPA's Tactical Technology Office (TTO) has issued Request for Information (RFI) DARPA-SN-26-62 to gather data on graphene production and its use in load-bearing structures for aerospace applications. The RFI seeks information on the current state and future potential of graphene, including sheet size, manufacturing scalability, application in structural design (as a main material, additive, or composite layer), supporting test data, and estimated weight and cost reductions compared to traditional materials. Responses are due by June 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM ET, and are welcomed from a broad range of sources including companies, universities, and government research centers. DARPA is specifically not interested in graphene modeling, theoretical assertions without data, its use in sensor construction unless tied to load-bearing structures, or carbon nanotube materials. Submissions should be concise white papers, not exceeding five pages, and sent electronically. This RFI is solely for market research and program planning, not a solicitation for proposals, and DARPA will not reimburse response costs or guarantee feedback.
