Contract Opportunity Analysis

The Federal Aviation Administration is seeking information for the Alaska Automation Capability challenge-based acquisition to modernize Alaska Flight Service and replace the legacy OASIS system with a web-based, cloud automation capability. The effort centers on concept papers, demonstrations, prototype development, and a follow-on production vehicle that can support weather briefing, flight planning, flight data, and search and rescue services across Alaska Flight Service facilities. The solution is expected to meet FAA functional and performance needs for safety-critical, high-availability operations, including 24/7 support, cloud hosting, and compatibility with AAC requirements for the 17-site Alaska Flight Service network, with evaluation focused on minimum organizational requirements, technical solution, and business model. Concept papers are due April 20, 2026, and the package includes NDA, business declaration, and employee screening materials for access to sensitive or export-controlled attachments.
