Superior National Forest Vault Toilet Pumping
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service’s Superior National Forest is seeking a small-business set-aside contract for vault toilet pumping services at recreation and administrative sites across northeastern Minnesota. The contractor must provide all management, supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, and supplies needed to pump and dispose of human waste from vault toilets at locations near Aurora, Virginia, Cook, Crane Lake, Echo Trail, Ely, Fernberg Trail, Isabella, Tofte, Grand Marais, and the Gunflint Trail. Work is on-call and generally needed from May to November, with a required 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. work window, coordination with local ranger districts for access, and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. The Forest Service will award based on the highest technically rated offer with fair and reasonable pricing and acceptable or neutral past performance, and offers are due May 5, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. ET, with questions due April 30, 2026 at noon ET.
