The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is soliciting bids for electrical plug connectors manufactured in accordance with MIL-DTL-24231 specifications. The contractor must manufacture and deliver these pressure-proof electrical plugs, which are designated as special emphasis, Level I/Scope of Certification items for use in critical shipboard systems. Technical requirements include mandatory government first article testing, chemical and mechanical material certifications for the receptacle bodies, and compliance with strict quality control standards. Final delivery of the material must be completed within 365 days of the contract's effective date, with certification data deliverables submitted at least 20 days prior to the scheduled delivery.
