NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: Metrohm USA Inc. for Metrohm 888 Titrando System

The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service is seeking to award a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a sole-source basis to Metrohm USA, Inc. for a Metrohm 888 Titrando System. The requirement includes one Metrohm 888 Titrando with OMNIS software, a flat membrane electrode with integrated temperature sensor, required cables and accessories, installation hardware, installation and configuration, functional verification, user familiarization training, and a three-year instrument warranty. FSIS determined Metrohm USA is the only reasonably available source because the system uses proprietary OMNIS software and specialized intelligent electrodes needed for current laboratory continuity and technical requirements, and the place of performance is the United States.
