Air Compressor Relocation
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The US Naval Research Laboratory is seeking a contractor to relocate two existing air compressors from the interior mechanical room of Building 65 to a new exterior location in Washington, DC. The successful contractor will be responsible for constructing an insulated metal shed on a concrete slab and extending all necessary electrical, compressed air, and fire alarm systems from the main building to the new structure. To prevent operational disruptions, one compressor must remain fully functional at all times, with utility outages restricted to weekends. This acquisition is a 100% small business set-aside with a planned period of performance from September 30, 2026, to December 4, 2026, and award will be determined using the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable source selection process. Quotes are due by September 23, 2026, at 1:00 PM GMT, and a mandatory site visit is required prior to proposal submission.
