The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, is seeking a contractor for beach nourishment at Great Egg Harbor Inlet and Peck Beach in Cape May County, New Jersey. The work includes pre-placement condition surveys and pumping and placing about 911,000 cubic yards of sand from an offshore borrow area onto Ocean City beaches from the Seaview Road groin to approximately 14th Street, with several optional quantities available for additional beachfill. The project requires sand to come from the offshore borrow area, prohibits trucking in sand, includes updated sequencing and a structures monitoring line item, and has a 96-calendar-day period of performance from notice to proceed; the projected construction magnitude is between $20 million and $40 million. Bids must be submitted through the PIEE Solicitation Module, and bidders must be registered in SAM and PIEE at the time of bid submission, with solicitation materials and amendments posted on SAM.gov and PIEE.
