The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mech, is soliciting a fixed-price supply contract for metallic pipe used in a critical shipboard system. The requirement is for carbon steel seamless pipe to MIL-P-24691/1, Grade B, in 2-inch nominal pipe size, Schedule 40, with the material treated as special emphasis/Level I material. Work includes ultrasonic inspection, shear wave testing, traceability and chemical/mechanical certification, special marking, packaging, and certificate of compliance deliverables, with Government quality assurance performed at destination. The solicitation places emphasis on past performance and requires compliance with detailed quality system, documentation, and material control provisions, while also noting that no government source inspection is required. Certification data must be submitted through WAWF for review and acceptance before each shipment, no material may ship before acceptance, and the proposed delivery schedule calls for final delivery in 365 days with early or incremental delivery acceptable at no additional cost; offerors are also asked to quote actual delivery days.
