Freefly Astro Max (NDAA/Blue) Drones for ARS
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service is procuring National Defense Authorization Act and Blue UAS-compliant drones to support agricultural research at the Southeast Watershed Research Laboratory in Tifton, Georgia. The contractor must deliver two brand name Freefly Astro Max drones, including travel cases, spare parts, high-resolution mapping LR1 payloads, spare propellers, twelve SL8-Air batteries, eight fast chargers, and two RTK GNSS ground reference stations. All delivered equipment must be new from the original equipment manufacturer, comply with NDAA Section 889 telecommunications restrictions, and be delivered within 30 days of contract award. This total small business set-aside solicitation will result in a firm-fixed-price purchase order evaluated on a lowest-price technically acceptable basis, with quotes due to Alexis Galloway at alexis.galloway@usda.gov by September 17, 2026, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time.
