Tar Lake Superfund

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Detroit District is seeking a contractor for a firm-fixed-price environmental services contract to conduct remediation at the Tar Lake Superfund Site in Mancelona Township, Michigan. The contractor will be required to excavate approximately 172,500 tons of contaminated soil, backfill the area with clean imported soils, and expand an existing bio-sparge system. Deliverables include installing new biosparge and groundwater monitoring wells, constructing a 160-square-foot pre-engineered structure to house system compressors, and performing ancillary tasks like site restoration and confirmation soil sampling. This project is a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 562910 for Remediation Services.
