Contract Opportunity Analysis
The U.S. Geological Survey Office of Acquisition and Grants is purchasing marine research equipment to assist the Hawaii Cooperative Fishery Research Unit in assessing fishery resources, benthic habitats, and water quality. The procurement requires the delivery of one Unmanned Surface Vehicle and one Underwater Remote Operated Vehicle, specifying brand-name-or-equal Blue Robotics BlueBoat and BlueROV2 systems. Both platforms must support integration with an existing Cerulean Omniscan side-scan sonar, utilize standardized field-swappable battery modules, and be delivered to Hilo, Hawaii within 60 days of award. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror submitting the lowest-priced, technically acceptable quotation.
