MTS FlexTest 40 Controller
Contract Opportunity Analysis
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration Shared Services Center intends to award a sole-source contract to MTS Systems Corporation to acquire two MTS FlexTest 40 Controllers and associated components. The contractor must deliver a specific hardware configuration, including eight-channel analog input boards and various 7.5-meter cable assemblies, to replace a failed system in the Materials Research Lab at the NASA Langley Research Center. This equipment supports the Durability Damage Tolerance and Reliability Branch and the NASA Engineering and Safety Center, requiring manufacturer-specific parts and proprietary technical knowledge to ensure compatibility and interchangeability with existing MTS hardware and software. The required period of performance is 95 days after receipt of order. Interested organizations may submit written capabilities and qualifications to primary contact Shanna Patterson at shanna.l.patterson@nasa.gov by 3:00 p.m. CST on August 12, 2026, to help the government determine if the procurement should be competed.
