FERRULE,COMPRESSION

The Department of the Navy, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support Mechanicsburg, is soliciting proposals for a compression ferrule to be used in a crucial shipboard system. The contractor must manufacture the ferrule in accordance with NAVSEA Drawing number 6397304 item 17, which includes performing oxygen cleaning, testing, packaging, and labeling in compliance with MIL-STD-1330. Because this special emphasis material has a high probability of catastrophic failure if defective, the procurement requires strict material traceability, objective quality evidence, and a documented quality system compliant with ISO-9001. Final delivery of the material is required within 210 days, with all certification data submitted 20 days prior to delivery for review and acceptance by the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
