Solicitation from the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, for the repair of a Dual Amplifier Modu. The repair is required for 2 each NSN 5998 01-676-8558. The Government does not own the drawings or data rights to this NSN. Government-Source Inspection and Acceptance (G-S I&A) is required. Only approved repair sources by the In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) may be considered. Interested companies must complete and return a Source Approval Request (SAR) to become an approved repair source. The repair quote should include the awardee CAGE, unit repair price, repair turn-around time, throughput constraint, new procurement cost (if known), and whether the item is obsolete. The quote's validity should extend for 3 months. Teardown and evaluation only quotes will not be accepted. The Small Business Set-Aside requirement has been dissolved. Repair quotes should be submitted to ETHAN.LENTZ@NAVY.MIL. The resultant award will be issued bilaterally. The contract/purchase order contains the requirements for repair and the contract quality requirements for the Dual Amplifier Modu. The repaired item shall meet operational and functional requirements. The item shall be physically identified in accordance with MIL-STD-130. Changes in design, material servicing, or part number require approval from the NAVICP-MECH Contracting Officer. The Contractor is responsible for inspection and compliance. Preservation, packaging, packing, and marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD 2073. Records of all inspection work shall be kept for 365 calendar days. The Contractor shall perform all inspection and testing requirements as specified in the original manufacturer's specifications and drawings. Authorized distributors of the original manufacturer's item will be considered for award.
