Contract Opportunity Analysis

The U.S. Embassy in Riyadh, Department of State, is procuring Third Party Liability insurance for its fleet of 221 official embassy vehicles in Saudi Arabia. Under the resulting indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, the contractor must provide policies that cover the vehicle fleet and accommodate newly added vehicles throughout the year. All policies must be issued by an insurer licensed to underwrite motor insurance in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and though U.S.-registered companies may serve as the prime contractor, they must identify their licensed Saudi subcontractor or partner in their proposal. Full annual premiums will be paid one year in advance upon policy issuance, and proposals must exclude VAT, which the Embassy reclaims through a host-government refund program. This procurement has a contract maximum value of $55,000 USD, and inquiries or submissions can be directed to the Contracting Officer at Riyadhcontracting@state.gov.
