7195--B2 - INPATIENT MENTAL HEALTH NURSE STATION, Detroit

The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 10 Contracting Activity, intends to issue a sole source Purchase Order to American Interiors Inc. for the digital component construction of prefabricated glass and solid core walls and panels for the VA Detroit Healthcare System's Inpatient Mental Health Nurse Station. This action is taken under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and the authority of FAR 6.103-1, citing safety concerns identified during a recent assessment of the behavioral health department. The assessment noted deficiencies related to staff and patient safety, specifically unsecured items and patient access to the nursing station due to low divider walls. The Government believes American Interiors Inc. is the only vendor capable of meeting the VHA specifications and Environment of Care requirements. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, and responses demonstrating clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government must be received by February 27, 2026, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
